Looking for a way to provide another creative outlet for students, the Boca Raton Community Middle School Drama Club was created in the fall of 2013. The focus is on musical theatre, and regardless of experience, all students are welcome. Being a member can be very rewarding! Students learn how to cooperate and collaborate with their peers, as well as discover talents that may have gone unnoticed.
In the fall, students meet to prepare for “A Night on Broadway”. This is a fun cabaret event. Once that show ends, our focus shifts to the spring musical. There are rehearsals 1-2 times after school each week, as well as lunchtime rehearsals. The occasional Saturday is thrown in as well. It requires a lot of work, but the end result is well worth it!
